"Viet Nam Veterans of America Plan to Dedicate the installation of a Memorial at the new Tottenville H.S. Campus and a Plaque in the old THS Building."
We at the Trumpet have been informed that Viet Nam Veterans, Thomas J. Tori - Chapter 421 on Staten Island, is planning to Dedicate a Memorial to the graduates of Tottenville H.S. who died in military service during the Viet Nam War, outside at the New Campus, & a Plaque in the old T.H.S building on November 11, 2008. The Dedication Ceremony will take place at the New Tottenville H.S. Campus on that date.
Everybody is hoping that the Dedication Ceremony will be well attended by the Tottenville H.S Alumni who are physically able to attend.
The Memorial & Plaque have been made but not yet engraved with the names of the Tottenville H.S. Grads who died in Military Service during the Viet Nam War Era.
That Committee is still gathering and verifying the names that should be engraved on the Memorial & Plaque, and the Trumpet has been actively giving them a hand with that effort, just as we will continue to high-light this event for our Tottenville High School Alumni Junction readers until after Veterans Day on November 11th.
The Trumpet will update this page as we get more information concerning this important event.
Especially if you live on Staten Island, please keep an eye on this page with the possibility of honoring your Fellow Tottenville H.S. Classmates who died in service to our country during the Viet Nam War, by attending this Dedication Ceremony.
